Who We Are
n 1997, a small group of parents and community leaders from the San Mateo coastside came together to share ideas and experiences in order to gain greater community access for children and adults with developmental disabilities. Today, C-PALS includes approximately 180 families and professionals from four Bay Area counties. C-PALS meets monthly to provide family support, to plan activities and events and to develop partnerships with community organizations, businesses and agencies to enhance the quality of life and to create an inclusive environment for individuals with developmental disabilities
Our Vision
To serve as a source of support for families of children with developmental disabilities living on the San Mateo County coastside. To educate the public about the abilities and needs of individuals with developmental disabilities. To be a resource to community leaders by assisting them in developing inclusive recreational, social and educational programs. To promote employment and housing opportunities for adults with developmental disabilities.
Mission Statement
C-PALS enables our children and adults with developmental disabilities to reach their full potential and to create opportunities for them to participate freely in our community through local collaborations and partnerships.
